Malta taken off the greylist by FATF
iGEN and the iGaming industry it represents welcome with great relief the announcement by the Financial Action Task Force that Malta has been removed from the grey list.
iGEN commends the government and all the institutions that have worked tirelessly to address the shortcomings identified by MONEYVAL and the FATF since 2019.
iGEN continues to condemn all acts of collusion, corruption, money laundering and fraud, and welcomes transparent and thorough investigations and prosecutions to eliminate all the individuals, companies and their representatives from any position of influence. Ongoing enforcement is key to ensuring a stable jurisdiction based on the rule of law, thus creating the right environment for long-term investments
