A full week of events and webinars designed to raise awareness around safer gambling, 17 – 23 October

iGEN is an association of leading iGaming companies based in Malta and operating on the European and international markets. Our mission is to give the industry a common voice and to drive positive change in the environments we operate in.

The European Safer Gambling Week is an annual cross-border initiative to promote safer gambling in Europe and was established by EGBA in 2021. It is supported by a group of European online gambling associations, including EGBA, iGEN and their members, who come together each year to encourage open and honest conversations about safer gambling in Europe.

This year’s European Safer Gambling Week is taking place on 17-23 October 2022, and there is a full schedule of events and webinars taking place. You can see the full agenda here: https://igenorg.eu/sgw/

iGEN is naturally doing it’s part to support and promote ESGW’s objectives, which are to:

  • Raise awareness about safer gambling.
  • Provide customers with the information they need to gamble more safely.
  • Sign-post the informational resources and help available for those who need it.
  • Discuss the latest developments in safer gambling regulations and research.

“iGEN is pleased to be involved in EGBA’s European Safer Gambling Week. As an industry trade association representing the largest companies involved in iGaming, it is an important duty of ours to push Responsible Gambling measures, and to give our members a platform to inform and educate colleagues, players and the press about the initiatives taken to safeguard the players from harmful gambling.”

 – Enrico Bradamante, Founder & Chairman of iGEN

“The ESGW is an annual European initiative to promote safer gambling across Europe and supported by a group of European online gambling associations including EGBA and its members. The main aim is to encourage open and honest conversations about safer gambling in Europe. This is all about promoting a stong culture of safer gambling and during the week you can expect to see key players in Europe’s online gambling community come together with a concerted effort to raise awareness about safer gambling and to provide customers with the information they need to gambling more safely.”

– Maarten Haijer, Secretary General, European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA).
